Ladies and gentleman, it is my great pleasure to introduce Candace Freeman, our new Business Development Consultant....

Candace is a new addition to our team, and because we want to get to know her better, and let you get to know her better - Candace has answered a few questions for us:

What is your role at JobCrystal?
I joined JobCrystal on 1 July 2010 as a Business Development Consultant. My day-to-day function involves growing our client portfolio by introducing new corporates to the benefits of head hunting talent themselves for their organizations by using our JobCrystal, on-line, interactive web recruitment portal.

I provide training, support and assist with search and selection on senior assignments and generally ensure our customers know how to optimally utilize our website. I also communicate with our career seekers, inviting them to register their profiles on the site, so that they can be head hunted by great companies. I post blogs, engage with various social media networks and really just have fun building our brand!

Describe your average day
I’m still learning the ropes, so right now my day centres around coffee, intense learning sessions with our brilliant IT guys and lots of business insight from Lilly, Lara and the rest of the team.

How long have you been working at JobCrystal for?
I’m a newbie and loving it! I felt at home from my first meeting with Lilly and I look forward to many successful years here.

What about JobCrystal makes you most excited?
The fact that I am involved with a company spearheading the online recruitment revolution! The simple mechanisms involved allow for corporate companies to effectively headhunt employees and opens candidates up to companies and life changing opportunities on a limitless stage. I am totally revved up by the simple beauty and effectiveness of our business and it is going to explode!

Describe what the JobCrystal working environment is like
Energized to the maximum! I have not encountered a dull moment yet. World domination is an exciting adventure.

What is the ultimate goal at JobCrystal?
I believe that JobCrystal is the perfect mechanism that will change the current cumbersome recruitment methods that we have become accustomed to. Finding your dream job or your dream employee is not easy and we want to cut out all the riff raff and complexity and simply put great candidates and great employers in direct contact with each other.

What has been the highlight of your working life so far?
Getting matched by JobCrystal - look at me now!

What did you want to be when you were growing up?
Umm if I remember correctly, a fireman, baker, news anchor, singer, lawyer, mostly I wanted to win millions in the lottery and become a professional shopper. Wait, that’s still a dream of mine….

What do you do when you’re not working?
I am equally comfortable at home reading or watching sport on TV as I am out and about socializing. Right now the Fifa Soccer World Cup is keeping me awfully busy.
